before 6:30 in east oakland. an argument between two men and a garage. another shooting left a man lying on 11th street. >> more developing news, in downtown oakland, where there has been an officer-involved shooting. here is view the earlier this evening. police responded to reports of a robbery at a restaurant. investigators aren't saying why shots were fired. a cruiser and a car ended up colliding and at the they say the suspect was injured possibly from the crash. >> the state senate narrowly first phase of california's high speed rail project. it allocated $8 billion. and californians would be able to ride a bullet train between los angeles to san francisco

necessary. the existing federal secure communities program violates peoples rights undocumented or not. >> it's not a good program. >> an assemblyman sponsored the california drugs action. it passed the state senate. it stops local police from referring any decent to officials unless that person has been convicted of a serious felony. >> people live in the shadows and you don't report it because they think they will be deported. >> right now the federal secure communities program allow fingerprints to be sent to the police for background checks also be sent to ice. they can hold the person for deportation proceedings. but not reporting all criminal violations does not sit well with the minutemen. >> if somebody is illegal they should be reported to ice.

wildfire is now 60% county contained. it broke out yesterday afternoon in the happy valley area. it destroyed two outdoor buildings and forced authorities toacuations for 80 evacuations 0 homes. most of the evacuees have been allowed to return. but the shasta county is sheriff's office says full containment is expected tomorrow. >> they are looking for kids they believe may have started a brush fire in south a san francisco. it broke out industrial city side shortly before 5:00 a.m. it shows smoke billowing from the two acre fire. the kids may have been playing with fireworks. firefighters put out the fire before it could reach homes. a baby in illinois is recovering after being attacked by a snake in his crib. one-year-old is oblivious to what happened but his parents are not. his father heard him crying. when she reached into the crib,

saturday and even beyond saturday. this is the hot air mass that has a grip on the central and eastern united states providing them with a blistering heat. it's the heat and humidity creating the excessive heat warnings and heat advisories for a good part of the country. what is going to happen, this is finally going to shift towards the west. a cold front will move into the midwest bringing significant relief from the heat starting on sunday and east coast will get relief on monday. as this large bubble of hot air shifts to the west we're going to see warmer conditions. warmer for your saturday, but this will really hit the peak when you hit into tuesday and wednesday. tomorrow morning, limited fog near the coast. most areas starting out in the 50s. cloverdale 49 degrees and watch what happens to the fog. it's very limited and it's going to clear away for most of bay area except for a few paf7s. 90s inland and 60s along the
